STSI and Cornell International Systems Thinking Conference Announce Global Partnership to Advance Systems Thinking

May 27, 2025 — The Systems Thinking Standards Institute (STSI) and the Cornell International Systems Thinking Conference—the largest systems thinking conference in the world—are proud to announce a strategic partnership aimed at amplifying and accelerating the global systems thinking movement.

Hosted annually at Cornell University, the Cornell International Systems Thinking Conference (Cornell.systems) convenes thousands of the world’s leading systems thinkers, educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. Its mission is to explore the science, application, and future of systems thinking across disciplines and sectors. With its global reach and rigorous programming, the conference has become the premier gathering point for those working to solve complex challenges through structural and relational thinking.

Through this partnership, STSI will collaborate with the conference team to curate, share, and promote content that supports the Global Systems Thinking Standard (STS®). The alliance includes co-hosted sessions, Science Board presentations, and shared publication of key insights, protocols, and innovations emerging from the field. Together, STSI and Cornell.systems aim to build a more connected, scientifically grounded, and practice-ready global systems thinking community.

“This partnership marks a pivotal moment in the systems thinking movement,” said [STSI Representative Name], [Title] at STSI. “By aligning the world’s most comprehensive systems conference with the leading standards institute, we’re creating a powerful platform for thought leadership, collaboration, and global impact.”

The collaboration will not only elevate the visibility of the Global Systems Thinking Standard, but also serve as a key vehicle for gathering insights from the field, informing future iterations of the standard, and connecting professionals with accredited training and implementation tools.
