Systems Thinking Standards Institute Appoints Michael Collins to Science Board

May 27, 2025 — The Systems Thinking Standards Institute (STSI) proudly announces the appointment of Michael Collins to its esteemed Science Board. Collins, a leading cybersecurity expert and founder of Cyber Cognition®, brings over two decades of experience in integrating systems thinking into cybersecurity practices.
Collins has been instrumental in reshaping how organizations approach cyber threats by emphasizing the interconnectedness of systems and the importance of holistic defense strategies. His recent research, including the paper "Systems Thinking in Cybersecurity: Ending with the Beginning in Mind," highlights the need for adaptive and systemic approaches to cybersecurity challenges.
In addition to his research contributions, Collins has developed educational resources aimed at enhancing critical thinking in cybersecurity. His initiatives focus on empowering professionals to better understand and navigate the complexities of cyber systems.
