The Systems Thinking Standards Institute (STSI) is proud to partner with Cabrera Research Lab (CRL), the premier research lab dedicated to advancing the science of systems thinking. CRL conducts rigorous basic and applied research at the frontier of cognitive and systems science. Its work explores how real world complexity and cognitive complexity interact to reveal the deep patterns that connect mind and nature.

 

A landmark empirical study of the field showed that CRL’s science-based approach to systems thinking far exceeded all other approaches tested. Seven out of eight of the most well-known frameworks had little or no empirical evidence. DSRP-483 Theory stood apart, with a long history of empirical validation and proven impact on both theory and practice.

 

Together, STSI and CRL ensure that systems thinking is grounded in scientific evidence and continuously shaped by research. CRL bridges the gap between theory, practice, and measurable outcomes to support educators, researchers, and organizations worldwide.

 

As we move into a new era with the launch of STSI, CRL remains focused on pioneering research into the science and practice of systems thinking. CRL is:
