The Systems Thinking Standard (STS™)

The STS® lies at the core of STSI. It is the Global Standard of Systems Thinking. The STS™is the foundation on which organizational Accreditation (STSI-A™), the Professional Systems Thinking (PST™) Credential, and the Systems Thinking Educational Standards (STES™).

4 Pillars of the Standard

Our Science Board uses a 16 item standard based on the "4 Pillars."  Everything in the standard must perform at a high level across all four of these dimensions.

Practical

Is it useful in solving real world problems and situations?

Empirical

Is there scientific evidence for its existence or effect?

Measurable

Can improvement of the skill be measured?

Universal

Is it both simple and widely applicable?

STSI Science Board

The STSI Science Board is an interdisciplinary committee of systems scientists, translational researchers, practitioners, leading professionals, learning designers, and performance experts. Its role is to review, vet, and approve any new models, protocols, or practices considered for inclusion in the Global Systems Thinking Standard (STS™). Every decision made by the Board is based on scientific and practice rigor.
